Thompson Brothers Painting, Inc. is a family owned business locally owned by Joe Thompson. The youngest of nine children, Joe started painting at the age of ten for his brother, Frank. While Roy was getting his college degree, he worked for Frank as well. In 1981, while a senior in high school, Joe purchased the business. He and his brother, Roy, painted farm buildings and houses locally during the summer months while Joe was putting himself through college. The business continued after Joe graduated and started his teaching career. After teaching and running a business for 24 years, Joe retired from teaching to run the expanding business full time. The brothers have employed dozens of young men and women during the summer months while they, too were getting an education. The business has grown to cover a 12 county area in west central Illinois and now employs eight full time employees and four seasonal painters. Thompson Brothers Painting has always operated under strong values of integrity, honesty and communication.
